Die Rennsport-Serie TCR (Touring Car Racing) erlebt weltweit einen ausgesprochenen Boom, so starten in der Saison 2017 bis zu 40 Fahrer zu den Rennen der ADAC TCR Germany. Andere nationale TCR Meisterschaften entstehen derzeit weltweit. Die Rennen werden zum Teil im Free TV Live übertragen. Nicht live ausgestrahlte Rennen können im Internet im Livestream verfolgt werden.

Teilnahmeberechtigt sind Fahrzeuge nach dem international einheitlichem TCR-Reglement. Angetrieben werden die Tourenwagen wie Audi RS3, Honda Civic, Hyundai i30, Opel Astra, Seat Leon, VW Golf und Kia von Zweiliter-Turbomotoren mit rund 350 PS. Ein System der Fahrzeugeinstufung (Balance of Performance) stellt die Chancengleichheit sicher.

The TCR concept (Touring Car Racing) is booming worldwide. In the 2017 season, over 40 drivers competed in the ADAC TCR Germany. Currently, there are other national and regional TCR championships established worldwide. All races are broadcast live on mainstream TV channels and can be followed on via live streaming and live videos on many social media channels.
